John is a venture partner at Haven Green advising and working with the senior management team on the buildout of the business and supporting the private deals business. 

John has 23 years of investment experience in private equity, venture capital and private debt.

Prior to Haven Green, he was a Managing Director at Focus Capital Partners, a boutique corporate finance advisory businesses where he was focused on building out their private deals business with family offices and private equity funds. Previously John was Chief Investment Officer, an Investment Committee member, and Co Head of Ireland at Beechbrook Capital. John was a founding member of Beechbrook Capital Ireland taking the business through the regulatory journey, the first and final closes of the fund, raising capital from Irish and international investors and then deployment of the fund across Ireland. For 10 years John was Senior Vice-President at Enterprise Ireland. John Co-Managed Enterprise Ireland’s direct equity portfolio fund, primarily responsible for late-stage venture and PE deals in high growth Irish, UK and US companies. John has worked on 100+ exits and 300+ syndicated equity and debt transactions.  

John is a regular panelist for over 15 years at leading European and Global Private Equity and Venture Capital conferences where he has built up a wide network of investment contacts across private equity and venture capital funds and family offices.
